In November 2010, Washington Juniors became a Charter Standard Community Club. In the words of the FA " Many congratulations to you and all the volunteers within Washington Juniors Football Club in achieving The FA Charter Standard Community Club accreditation,the pinnacle of the FA programme. By achieving the accreditation The FA formally recognises your club as one that is not only committed to raising standards throughout grassroots football but also as a club that has demonstrated its commitment to the local community".

In October 2010 Washington Juniors became the first football club within Washington to become a Registered Charity through the Charity Commission.Our Charity Number is 1138586

In 2001/2002 season John Beresford was due to do a Presentation for Washington Juniors, however at the last minute he had to pull out. He promised as compensation to run a team for the day which he did. John still keeps in touch with the club and is doing a talk in for us in November 2010.

In October 2010 the club has applied to the FA to become recognised as a Charter Standard Community Club.
